Airplane camping

We decided to go camping with friends in Oregon for a week.

We took an LLBean Extra Large Adventure Bag, with wheels, and put in an UltraDome4 tent, 3 ground pads, a small bow saw (with a new blade), folding shovel, rope, knife, fire starter, multi-purpose tool, and a red whistle. Then, we took 3 more Extra Large Adventure Bags (without wheels), and put sleeping bags and clothes in them.

And we got on a plane and went.

We rented a KIA minivan (it was EXCELLENT) and drove 800 miles.

It was one of the best vacations I’ve ever been on.

Lodging was inexpensive
Camping is fun
The tent, sleeping bags, and pads kept us comfortable

We saw Sea Lion Caves, cool lighthouses, invisible fireworks (fog), awesome dunes, beautiful beaches, great towns … but most importantly … we saw our friends.
