Fast Food Kiddie Meals

It’s the toys.

Let’s face it, the toy is probably more valuable than the food.

I like the toys. So does the dog. He has a little blue and yellow stuffed animal that we play fetch with.

But, kids really don’t need more toys, and most children already prefer to eat fast food over any other. Especially mine, but that’s a different topic.

What if the major fast food chains spent some time and thought up some other way to entice young eaters to purchase their meals?

Ideas:

  • Different shaped cookies or small desserts. Not real healthy, but let’s face it, if healthy was the primary concern, you wouldn’t buy it anyway.
  • Cups/bowls/plates - or any other reasonably practical product. Same amount of plastic, but at least you can drink out of a cup. You can’t drink out of a plastic lion.
  • Pens/pencils, since there are puzzles on many of the boxes and bags, a writing utensil would be helpful, and can be used later.
  • Trading/playing cards. Not necessarily useful, but at least they are small and recycle easy.

Establishing a series of these things would be good marketing.
