Chicken Wonderful is an amazing dish, and very easy to make.
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Everything cooks at 350.
Next, find the chicken leftovers in the freezer. If they are from an organic chicken, humanely raised and handled, they’re better. Get the stuffing mix from the cupboard, some frozen mixed vegetables (hopefully from the freezer) or fresh vegetables from the fridge, flour, butter, and milk. Also, find a brick of cheddar cheese. There should be some leftover potatos, baked or mashed is fine.
Make a cream sauce with the flour butter and milk. If you have about 1 cup of chicken, you’ll probably want to use 1.5 tablespoons of flour and butter, and 1 cup of milk. If you have more chicken, make more cream sauce. Fun stuff to add to the cream sauce includes poultry seasoning, white wine, chicken boullion, chicken broth, and gravy. You can add some or all of the cheese into the cream sauce, if you’d like.
Now the fun begins.
Mix up some stuffing and put it in the bottom of a baking or casserole dish. Add a layer of chicken. Place the vegetables on top of the chicken, then the potatoes, and finally, pour the cream sauce over everything. Garnish with cheddar cheese.
Bake for about half and hour, or until you’re ready to eat.
Enjoy.
