I traded in my old (1991) Mazda (323 SE) last summer. It needed a new gas tank, new tires, a new exhaust pipe, and other accessories totalling $1500+. I loved that car and didn’t want to get rid of it, but the issue with the gas tank was really bothering me, especially since the gas gauge didn’t work. Although I had rewired the horn, the button was on the dash instead of the steering wheel - which I didn’t like.
Got a nice new Mazda.
Today, I saw my old Mazda in the high school parking lot, with temporary plates.
Someone peeled off my silly bumper stickers. They removed the notes on the horn which said “No horn, Check oil, No gas gauge". My horn button was still there. It was nice and clean, inside and out. The stereo I bought at WalMart was still in there.
I’m glad the car has a nice new home. It was good to me.
I wonder if the seat belt alarm still beeps … ALL THE TIME …
