- Are you tired of fancy code?
- Do you long for the good old days when web code was a free-for-all?
- Sick of client- and server-side validation?
- Happy to use bit masks instead of a proper ACL?
- Are you good at copy/paste?
- Wish you could work on a system that is a collection of stand-alone pages?
- Like table-based layouts?
- Love YUI?
- Reject the whole OOP thing in favor of procedures?
- Think ORM just makes things more complicated?
- Argue that frameworks are unnecessary overhead?
- Enjoy writing extremely complex SQL?
- Consider XHMTL 4 better than HTML 5?
- Believe that once code is written it should never be replaced?
- Opposed to new technology?
- Suppress notices instead of correcting the code?
- Ignore version updates that might require code changes?
- Prefer not to worry about your users, expect they should adapt to and appreciate the code, even if it's not meant for mobile devices?
- Delight in side-effects?
Join Us!!!
We'll ensure you continue to write code as if it was 1999!
As you continue to add features to our application, you can maintain the same skill set you learned twenty years ago.
We're looking for a self-starter that is willing to take over a huge collection of mission critical code that is held together with magic. Since our developer quit (and won't help us in the future), you'll be alone in your role as the person who must support the system. All the people who know the system are gone, so you can guess what the hell they did.
Even though we have no one that understands web development, please send us a sample of your code. It makes us feel special.
