I just got back from the supermarket.
There is a whole lane dedicated to water.
I understand some people need to purchase drinking water, but I really think a few big containers of spring water would be fine.
There is plain water, water with flavoring, water with sugar and flavoring, and water with sugar substitutes and flavoring.
In many parts of the world, people do not have water that is safe to drink - yet here in America, where just about every tap is delivering safe water - people buy bottled water, both at the supermarket and through those water cooler services, and drink that instead.
Then, the bottles are discarded.
Whether they are discarded in a recycle bin or in a trash can, it is the same. The container, used once, must now be transported, processed and delivered.
Think globally, act locally. Buy a nice water bottle, fill it with tap water every day and drink it. Then, wash it and use it again the next day.
